Winnipeg - Regina
Upon exiting Winnipeg one is greeted with approximately two days of endless plains of grasses, which play beautifully in the sun. We were warned about the dreadfulness of this part of the trip, but we all came to a the consensus that it was actually quite enjoyable. I think that there are two ingredients to making the prairie drive: (1) not having to get somewhere on time and (2) several drivers.

Affectionately named "milk-carton" residential buildings from the 80s (70s?) are seen in both Winnipeg and Regina. Quiet unpleasant to the eye

Before Nadya's birthday dinner at Flip Drinks & Eatery (thank you Michele), we experienced the most memorable Regina event. Mammatus cloud (related words: mammory; literally meaning "breast clouds") formations indicate a particularly strong storm or even a tornado. These were simply stunning - crowds of gazers formed around the hotel entrance.

Not much else to say about Regina, so we move on.
